Saunders Farm Educational Tours
Dear Educators,
Your students will play, learn and grow with our exciting Educational Tours!
Come and spend a morning or afternoon at the award-winning Saunders Farm to discover the importance of farming in our community, to learn about growing pumpkins and to experience the wonder of mazes. For over 15 years, our enthusiastic instructors have engaged thousands of young minds with interactive activities that emphasize learning through experience. We’ve listened to your feedback and made great improvements to our packages that your students will love! Every teacher will receive a resource booklet to supplement activities back in the classroom. All activities meet the requirements of the Ontario Curriculum in Science and Technology, Social Studies, and Language.

PUMPKINS & HARVEST
- “The Great Pumpkin Show”: Introduced last year, this highly energetic, interactive and informative show stars the number one fruit (yes, it’s a fruit!) of the season, the pumpkin! Students will see learn how pumpkins grow and will discover the role of bees in plant growth. Each child will bring home a “Jack-be-Little” pumpkin.
- “The Simple Scarecrow” a delightful original puppet show that illustrates the importance of a wanderlust scarecrow to the growth and harvest of the autumn crops.
AMAZEING AUTUMN
Be aMAZEd! Workshop: Students will get lost as they discover the difference between mazes and labyrinths! This in-depth workshop will unlock the secrets of the Classical Labyrinth. The workshop winds up with students participating in a centuries-old Labyrinth Dance.
